Message from the President

Dear Member:
At Allsteel Credit Union, your Board of Directors, management and staff are committed to being careful stewards of the funds you have entrusted to us. We work diligently to ensure we are managing the business of the credit union as efficiently and effectively as we can so that you are gaining as much value as possible from your membership in Allsteel Credit Union. That means from time-to-time we need to make sure we are pricing services fairly, ensuring that members who actively participate in the credit union are not subsidizing members who do not or those who are abusing their membership privileges. A recent such assessment has resulted in a new fee schedule.

Many of the fees can be avoided by maintaining a sufficient balance in your checking account; Allsteel Credit Union's checking accounts have no minimum balance requirement and pay interest so you not only avoid fees, but also enjoy earnings. In most cases, we are only passing on the fees that are charged to us by our service providers. We will continue to waive the fees associated with normal use of ATMs. However, we cannot control fees assessed by an ATM's owner.

Following is our new fee schedule:

  • NSF (non-sufficient funds) fee: $25 per occurrence; daily maximum: $100
  • ACH/NSF fee: $25
  • Dormancy fee: $25 assessed semi-annually on 3/31 and 9/30 after 365 consecutive days of inactivity on balances less than $100
  • Cashier's Check fee (per draft): $5
  • Cashier's Check Stop Payment: $35
  • Returned check: $25
  • Stop Payments: $25
  • Automatic transfer fee: $5 when funds are transferred from savings to checking to cover an overdraft. No fee when you transfer funds yourself.

If you need guidance on how to avoid fees or for a complete listing, please feel free to contact the credit union. Remember, the more you use the credit union, the more value we can provide you, so use the credit union for all it's worth
